In the early 1900's but they must have forgotten because our votes still don't count today.
Indians can only vote on tribal matters but not matters of the United States Government.
Indians have been able to vote since 1924 but they dont count them in the United States Census so our votes don't really count.

In 1887 the Dawes Act was created to allot portions of certain reservation land to individual Indians. How much land was alotted to each Indian?
题 7 out of 8
160 acres
160 acres to each head of family and 80 to others. Indians selected their own lands but if they failed to an indian agent did it for them and it was held in trust for 25 years until allottees could learn to treat it as real estate.
All the Indians got to live on the land they had until they couldnt produce crops on it. Then it was open to whoever to Homestead on.
As much as they could farm.
The Indian Agents had meetings with the Tribal Chiefs and they set out who got what amount of land.
They said we got to have 160 acres and then when we couldn't survive off of it because we were used to sharing property as a community we sold it to take care of our families.
We didn't get to have any land.
