Best ever First Person Shooting Game?

Battlefield 3 Battlefield 3 (commonly abbreviated BF3) is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Battlefield 2, and the eleventh installment in the Battlefield franchise

Bioshock Word to Ken Levine, BioShock's enthralling story—about a man who finds himself fighting his way through an underwater city while saving (or for more malevolent-minded players, "harvesting") little girls for chemical currency called ADAM—blew the doors open on how storytelling can add to a game's impact. Of course, adding in a few ’60s-era guns helps things along as well, seeing as how you needed every single one of them to take down the Big Daddies patrolling the corridors of Rapture.

Call Of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare There had been so many permutations of video games depicting war over the years that the genre inevitably began to seem stale...at least when Modern Warfare arrived and inspired the imaginations (or at least the profanity-filled tirades) of millions of gamers on Internet-enabled consoles. The fourth Call of Duty ditched the World War II setting of previous iterations and went full retard in the Middle Eastern politics debate, concocting a completely fictional international crisis which probably taught millions of young gamers that winning a war is as simple as getting a killstreak of seven and calling in in a helicopter.

Crysis Met with a steady chant of, "Will this game even work on my PC?" Crysis was a resource-hogging title that used every last Hertz in your processor to get you going in Crytek's open-ended FPS. Frankly, it was worth it—the game is one of the most beautiful experiences you'll find on a PC title, with lush environments, amazing physics, and high-intensity gameplay that can only be pulled off with the latest in hardware. Perhaps the only chink in the armor is the disappointing, cliffhanger-like ending, but with the forthcoming sequel nearing completion, we'll look the other way on this one.

Half Life 2 Frankly, HL2 could very well have been in our top 10 [Ed.—or top 1!], but we wanted to spread the love around up there. Nevertheless, Gordon Freeman's return to Black Mesa was quite the successful one (39 Game of the Year awards and several Game of the Decade nods) as the man in the orange jumpsuit brought a friend to the party: the physics-defying gravity gun. It allowed Valve developers to implement puzzle aspects to the shooter's action sequences (as well as bisect headcrab zombies with circular saw blades), adding yet another level of entertainment to an already engaging series.

Unreal Tournament He game that brought us "Boom. Headshot," Unreal Tournament is our pick for the best first-person shooter ever, combining twitchy finger-friendly gun play with some of the slickest artificial intelligence bots around. Yes, that was important back then when Internet connections ran at 56K speeds and weren't able to handle the massive Call of Duty-esque environments of today. Whether you were a well-hidden sniper or a flak cannon aficionado, UT allowed gamers to let their frag flag fly however they wanted; you can't ask more from an FPS.
